      yes, very true. Human life is meant for performing tapasya, but the purpose of that tapasya is purifying our consciousness. Rishabdev says ”Tapo divyam”, for divine or higher purpose. People often perform austerities but the purpose is material, there is no purification of consciousness. H.H Radhanath swami used this very important word ‘higher’ purpose which is the essence of tapasya.
